Rachel Kistner

I am currently the Special Education Director for Red Oak ISD.  I have served the students, staff and families of the district in this role since 2008.

I am originally from Ohio where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Education from Ohio Northern University. I taught for two years in Ohio before moving to Texas in 1989 when I began teaching for Red Oak ISD at Red Oak Elementary.

During the 1999-2000 school year I left the classroom to serve as the Assistant Principal at both Red Oak Elementary and Wooden Elementary.  I moved into the role of Principal at Red Oak Elementary and served there from 2000-2008 until moving into my current position.

I received my Masters of Education Degree from Dallas Baptist University in 1997 and completed my Superintendent certification program from San Angelo State University in 2007.

My husband and I raised two daughters that both attended Red Oak ISD schools from kindergarten through their graduations from Red Oak High School in 2011 & 2013.

It is a pleasure and a privilege to serve Red Oak ISD students, staff and families.
