Mrs. Jaime McGinty

My name is Jaime McGinty, and this will be my 16th year of teaching. This is my 11th year at Shields Elementary! I will be teaching your child reading, writing, and social studies. I love teaching all subjects but my absolute passion is writing. There is nothing more powerful than watching my students learn and grow as writers!

I live in Midlothian with my husband, Jeremy and our four children. Our oldest Sheldon is a sophomore in high school, Aedon is in 8th grade, Sydney is in 6th grade and Candon is in 3rd! I enjoy running, helping others, and spending time with my family. I'm very passionate about being the very best mom and teacher that I can be!

I am looking forward to a great school year, and cannot wait to meet my students. I believe that a strong relationship between school and home is essential for our students' success.
