Welcome to 4th Grade!

Ms. Jaime McGinty

My name is Jaime McGinty, and this will be my 18th year of teaching. This is my 12th year at Shields Elementary! I will be teaching your child reading, writing, and social studies. I love teaching all subjects but my absolute passion is writing. There is nothing more powerful than watching my students learn and grow as writers!

I live in Midlothian with my four children. My oldest Sheldon is a Freshman in college,  Aedon is in 11th grade, Sydney is in 9th grade and Candon is in 6th! I enjoy running, helping others, and spending time with my family. I'm very passionate about being the very best mom and teacher that I can be!

I am looking forward to a great school year, and cannot wait to meet my students. I believe that a strong relationship between school and home is essential for our students' success.
