Who am I? I'm a proud RO Hawk who is committed to helping students learn and building character. I've taught English for almost 20 years (part higher ed and over 10 yrs at high school). I grew up in DFW and went on to be a life-long learner, ultimately earning my PhD in in 2008. I've taught in several regions of the US and abroad in Europe. Once my husband retired from the Navy after 20 yrs. of service, I was so glad to return home and teach dual-credit English, British Lit, and English 1.
What do I enjoy? I'm a foodie, a reader (no surprise), enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband and family, and love traveling to new and unusual places (sometimes you don't have to travel far :)
