    To contribute to the well-being of every student by providing nutritious, appealing meals in order for each student to learn and perform at the highest level.

    Nutrition Policy

    The Red Oak ISD School Nutrition Department participates in the National School Lunch Program, and the School Breakfast Program. Our team of food and nutrition professionals are dedicated to providing quality meals to students, staff, and visitors, and support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

    Meals, snacks, and beverages sold or served at Elementary and ROMS meets the requirements of the Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act and the Smart Snacks in School policy. We encourage students to make healthy meal choices by providing access to a variety of healthy menu options, and daily choices of fresh fruits and vegetables.

    Red Oak ISD Student Nutrition Department offers a way to put money in your child's lunch account. Online deposits may be made through mySchoolBucks. Parents are able to register for an account and view information for free. Parents are also able to view account balances or recent purchases in the school cafeteria, add money to their child's account, and setup low balance alerts through this award-winning, parent friendly system.

    We appreciate all the time our students, parents and staff members took to let us know what they want in the cafeteria. We hear you, and we want to keep the feedback loop going as we continue to make improvements. Now that we don’t have so many restrictions at the high school, we’re open to new ideas, so keep them coming. Please use the LET'S TALK LUNCH online form to send your feedback.


    In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.

    Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.), should contact the Agency (State or local) where they applied for benefits. Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at 800-877-8339.  Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.

    To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at the US Department of Agriculure website and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. To request a copy of the complaint form, call 866-632-9992. Submit your completed form or letter to USDA by:
