District Curriculum

Welcome to the ROISD Curriculum & Instruction Department. The curriculum that we use and the instruction that we provide in ROISD are designed to challenge all learners and set high standards for achievement. In all courses, the district curriculum follows the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills set forth by the State Board of Education. In addition to core curricular areas – language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and the arts – ROISD curriculum provides programs and support for those with disabilities, Gifted and Talented students, ESL/bilingual students, and alternative programs for credit recovery. Our commitment to educational excellence sets the foundation for a thriving academic community. In ROISD, we believe that education is not just about imparting knowledge but about igniting a passion. We are dedicated to crafting an educational framework that meets the diverse needs of our students, prepares them for the future, and fosters critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.

The Curriculum and Instruction team in ROISD:

  • Work to ensure that all students have equal access to educational opportunities.
  • Supports educators through carefully crafted curriculum design.
  • Provides professional learning opportunities and coaching.
  • Create an educational environment where all students can succeed.
  • Advance the knowledge and the practice of teaching and learning.
