Individual Student Perfect Attendance Incentives – REACH 100% Attendance
Red Oak ISD values every hawk being in school every day! It is vital for building upon instructional foundations, creating connections, and ensuring successful learning.
Along with campus incentives and the value of being in school, learning every day, Red Oak ISD will reward students who have perfect attendance for the remainder of the school year – starting Sept. 2, 2025, through May 20, 2026.* Students who have perfect attendance will be awarded the amount below by school level.
School-related absences from class are not counted against perfect attendance. In addition, exemptions include college visits (2 allowed per year by Jrs. and Srs.); religious holy days, required court appearances, and serving as an election clerk (2 days per year).
All other absences – excused or unexcused and including partial absences, out-of-placement absences, etc., will be considered an absence for perfect attendance awards. Remember to review the student handbook for exam exemptions for attendance as well.

$250 = Red Oak and Joy Shaw Middle School students
- $100 = Red Oak ISD elementary school students
*Students enrolled after November 1, 2025, are not eligible for perfect attendance for the full year.

Staff and Campus Incentives
Individual Staff Attendance Incentive - $500 winner per campus per semester
Research shows teachers are the single most important impact on student learning; nothing replaces the certified teacher in the classroom every single day! This year, Red Oak ISD has modified the calendar to offer an additional days off for staff and we continue to give raises.
Now, we are offering a chance for more money just by coming to work every day and modeling that expectation for your students. Here is how you can win big for you and your school!
ROISD Employees who have two or fewer absences in the semester are eligible. Each semester by each campus – drawing of all eligible staff = winner gets $500
- Each campus can have a $500 winner, if no one at school is eligible, then no winner will be named at that campus
- Jury duty and school business do not count against you
- This does not include staff who can already earn attendance incentives
- Fall Semester: starts Aug. 14-Dec. 18, 2025, winner announced by Jan. 6, 2026
- Spring Semester: Jan 7-May 22, 2026, winner announced by May 29, 2026
Campus Staff & Student Incentive – Win up to $10,000 for your school
Each campus that REACHES one of the student attendance goals below will receive additional funding for its campus. Funds will be added to the next year's campus activity budget, where half of the funds will be used for student incentives and half for campus materials.
Attendance emphasizes the importance of staff being in school (at work) every day, encouraging students to attend school, and taking accurate attendance. Student attendance will be calculated for the entire school year (August 14, 2025, to May 20, 2026).
- REACH 95% for all student attendance = $2,500
- REACH 96% for all student attendance = $5,000
- REACH 97% or higher for all student attendance = $10,000
