On June 15, 2026, the ROISD School Board will hold a Public Hearing for the Proposed Budget and Tax Rate for the 2026-2027 School Year.

House Bill 1522 from the 89^th Legislative Session amended the Texas Open Meetings Act to require that notice of a meeting at which the Board will discuss or adopt a budget includes a taxpayer impact statement showing, for the median-valued homestead property, a comparison of the property tax bill for the current fiscal year to an estimate of the property tax bill for the same property for the upcoming fiscal year if the proposed budget is adopted.
