Assistant Superintendent of District Operations

Education: Bachelor of Science in Physical Education in 1986 from Texas A&M University College Station, Master of Science in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1998.

Bio: Prior to becoming an Assistant Superintendent, Mr. Freels served as Principal at Red Oak High School from 2008 - 2014. Mr. Freels was a teacher and coach for 12 years in Fredericksburg and Cedar Hill. In 1998, he became the administrator for the DAEP Program in Cedar Hill and in 2005 he became the Associate Principal at Cedar Hill High School.

Mr. Freels has been married since 1988 to his wife, Gina an elementary teacher, who is a 1987 graduate of Texas A&M University. He has two children, that are also graduates of Texas A&M University. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and attending sporting events, especially those that involve the Aggies.
