ROHS students participate in 'white coat' ceremony

At Red Oak High School, students that have successfully completed one semester of dual credit anatomy and physiology (BIOL 2401) have the opportunity to order a lab coat. When ordering, students may have it embroidered to read 'Dr. Burba' or 'Ashlen Estrada M.D.' These coats symbolize the goals these students have set for themselves and their future. Medical schools have a similar practice, students enrolled in various medical programs participate in 'white coat' ceremonies at the beginning and/or end of the program to commemorate and celebrate. Teacher Jessica Guerrero has done the same for her students with intentions of motivating and encouraging them to change the world!
